Sunday 17th April – Bike **** Chantry Post (South Downs Way) Walk **** Sayers Croft - sunny
We woke to the amazing views down to the sea, frosty too! and after breakfast set out to cycle along the top of the Downs to the point which overlooks Haughton, it was stunning with the most amazing views and some huge houses in the valleys:) We didn’t want to go down and come straight back up!! When we got back to the van I stopped but I went round the walk we did last night. The car park was filling up and people were parking everywhere so because we were taking up two parking spaces and people were beginning to jam us in we decided to move off and not wait until after lunch. We were even more covered in mud than yesterday and everything is muddy – shoes, bikes, clothes, etc…… We decided to go and give Rob his maps back. We knew that he was working but it was on our way home so we thought we would give it a go. Luckily he had nearly finished so we waited and had a cuppa and another grand walk round the bluebell woods. Left them about 4.30 and after about half an hour in the queue for the bloomin tunnel we got in about 7.30. Mad rush to get all the stuff out of the van.
